In July the widely renowned Geneva Art Fair, which displays artists from all over the country, fills up both sides of Third Street for two whole days. Each the fall the Greater Geneva Art Guild sets up a popular Studio Tour, for which many of the artists in Geneva and the surrounding area open their private studios the public. In addition to their studios and galleries, the GGAG hosts a booth at the Geneva Art Fair.

On public display all year round are sculptures ranging from Rain Man to Shakespeare’s Nick Bottom outside the library, the Art on Fire painted plugs all over the city, the Veterans Memorial at the Government Center, metal sculptures outside Graham’s 318 and City Hall, and murals prominently displayed in the Post Office and on various buildings.

This fall Art Affair premieres. It will be a salon-style cocktail party with live music and painting complemented by canapés and a cash bar, held at the Geneva Golf Club. The evening will include a silent auction for a range of items from wines to gourmet meals, and works of art to pampered hotel stays.

Art galleries and shops abound in the city, offering art works for all tastes. At the Herrington Inn and Spa a selected piece of art is displayed annually prior to and following the EYAO! event. And at the close of each academic year Geneva High School mounts an impressive and well-attended art show.
